Republic Day Reception – City Chambers, Edinburgh

Ahalya had the honour of performing at the Republic Day Reception organised by the Consulate General of India, Edinburgh at City Chambers Edinburgh. The prestigious event was graced by esteemed guests including The Rt. Hon. Lord Provost Robert Aldridge, Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes MSP, Presiding Officer Alison Johnstone MSP, and several members of the Scottish Parliament, government officials, business leaders, and the Indian community.
Ahalya presented a unique Bharatanatyam choreography that beautifully blended Indian and Scottish music, celebrating cultural harmony through classical expression. The performance featured self-created traditional props, thoughtfully designed to enhance the storytelling and visual impact of the piece.
Ahalya’s dedication, creativity, and attention to detail were evident throughout the performance, which received resounding applause from the audience. It was a memorable evening for Ahalya, and the performance continues to be fondly remembered by all who attended.
