Ahalya Dance Academy was honoured to be invited once again to perform at the prestigious Republic Day Reception held at City Chambers, Edinburgh on 26th January 2026.

For this distinguished occasion, Ahalya presented a distinctive fusion performance that seamlessly blended the classical vocabulary of Bharatanatyam with Indian Carnatic music and elements of Scottish music. The presentation reflected a vibrant cultural dialogue between India and Scotland.

The performance was further elevated by costumes that creatively merged Indian and Scottish influences, symbolising unity through artistic expression. Renowned for their original choreography, precision, rhythm, and dynamic stage presence, the ensemble captivated the audience, receiving enthusiastic applause and personal appreciation from distinguished guests and attendees.

Through innovative yet tradition-rooted choreography by Anoop Menon, the academy continues to set new benchmarks for Indian classical dance in Edinburgh.
