Following last year’s memorable participation, Ahalya Dance Academy was once again invited to perform at the Multicultural Event at Lauriston Castle, organised by African Connections CIC. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the castle’s gardens, the event brought together diverse communities from across Edinburgh to celebrate unity through art, music, and dance.

This year, Ahalya showcased the depth and diversity of Indian classical dance with performances by three groups — Adults, Youth, and Production. The Adults group presented a heartfelt Ganesha dance piece, performed with devotion and passion, while the Youth and Production groups delivered individual Bharatanatyam pieces that reflected their technical mastery and expressive grace.

The performances were widely appreciated by the multicultural audience for their authenticity, elegance, and cultural richness. Through these presentations, Ahalya once again demonstrated its commitment to sharing the beauty of pure Indian classical dance on global and inclusive platforms.

The event stood as a celebration of cultural harmony and artistic excellence, and Ahalya Dance Academy was proud to contribute to this vibrant showcase of diversity.
